Ed Heide is a trained mediator, a registered social worker and a registered marriage and family therapist. He has been providing individual, couple and family counseling in the greater Toronto area for the past 30 years. He has also provided staff training and development to a variety of church-based social service organizations.

With ARC, Ed provides:

• Assistance to churches going through difficult transitions in leadership or differences in vision, providing an outside perspective of the dynamics within a congregational system that may not be visible from within.
• One-to-one consultation for organizational leaders.

In addition, Ed provides:

• Mediation services to separating families where there is a desire to part amicably for the sake of their children.
• Consulting services to family businesses, primarily assisting families in business together through times of transition from one generation to the next, or mediating disputes that arise between family members.

Ed grew up in Manitoba on a family farm, completing his university education with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Manitoba in 1972. In 1986 he became a registered clinical member of the Ontario Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is currently a partner in a health-care enterprise. Ed is an active member of Toronto United Mennonite Church.
